Happy Honeymoon, Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy Graduation!

In order to celebrate all of the above, which needed some serious celebrating, we decided to take a vacation to sunny California. We had a great week there at the beginning of July. We first went off to San Francisco to see the sites.

Our first stop was the Santa Cruz, close to San Francisco. Andrea's grandparents lived in this area so it was good for her to go back to that area where she spent lots of childhood time. We went to the Santa Cruz Pier and happened to be there on the weekend of "Woodies on the Pier." Here is Andrea next to one of the nicest ones we saw.

We also stopped by the amusement park that is on the pier and Andrea found a shooting gallery, a Sturtevant Family favorite
We also made the necessary "San Franciscan Homage" to the Golden Gate Bridge. It is amazing to see in real life. It was my first time, and I never realized how high it is. My dad told me to spit into the ocean for good luck, so here it is off the Golden Gate Bridge.

We walked the whole distance of the bridge and back, here is the middle of the bridge. (Notice how I am holding on the rail for safety.)

We also checked out a lot of the downtown and Fisherman's Wharf area. I had a great sourdough bread bowl full of some of the best clam chowder I've ever had.

After San Francisco, we were off to San Diego. We stopped by the zoo the first day. It is an amazing zoo.
Among the favorites at the zoo were the elephants and polar bears.

We also got front row seating at the at the sea lion show. Here he is blowing kisses.

We also went to the beach. It was amazing because of its black/gold color.
But what we were most excited for was our trip to Disneyland. I was extremely excited for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Of course Slash Mountain was a classic ride

We had a great vacation. It was nice to get away and just enjoy some time together.

Hi! How super cute is your blog! I love your title picture. The kids and I just saw that downtown last week - we thought it was so cool! Good idea for a picture!
