I'm already "People of Wal-Mart" worthy...ugh...

So, this past week we have officially welcomed all three of the babies home! Yay! It's pretty much a non-stop feeding and diaper changing party around here! (No joke!) When we stumble into the nursery at the midnight and 3 a.m. feedings, it's a bit of comedy of errors. So far I have witnessed Tyler (in his sleep) desperately trying to find a baby he lost in a sea of blankets. I quickly had to remind him he was sleeping, and NOT holding a baby- pretty funny if you ask me! We have swaddled one of our boys (repeatedly, but on accident) in a pink frilly blanket, and then proceeded to give him a pink pacifier (that one can be blamed on daddy- he swore he thought it was blue!) :) Needless to say the Young household is a *bit* sleep deprived! If our babies survive their first year, it'll be a miracle! :) If you're ever bored in the middle of the night stop on by and witness the comedic action! :)

Moving on... on a more sad note, I have only been a mom for a little over two weeks, and I already look like I belong on the website "people of Wal-Mart." So sad but true...the other day I was able to sneak into the grocery store for some errands and I quickly realized how horrid I looked!! Poor people who had to witness that... My hair was sticking out in a million different directions, I was wearing my glasses from like 10 years ago, I didn't have a stitch of makeup on, and to top it off i was sportin' my pj's. YIKES!!! The fun has truly begun...now I just hope that SOME day I'll be able to wear a normal outfit or put some makeup on and join the land of the living! :) Cheers to being a mom, the hardest, but best job I could ever have!! :)

oh you cute new parents!!!! (make sure that tyler doesn't feel bad: brook is usually pretty much cleep-walking when anything has to happen in the middle of the night with the baby --- sometimes he doesn't even remember waking up! so the whole *pink* thing is understandable!)
i wish i could come and help you in the night so you could get some sleep! i've just now started NOT needing a nap during the day b/c i'm getting more sleep at night --- sleep is surely a blessing sent from the heavens!!!
seriously though: let me know if i can come over suring the day and let you sleep a little....i KNOW how much you need your sleep!
and wla-mart schmal-mart! --- you got out of the house!!!! that is saying something --- just leep a hat in the car from now on for those moments of insanity :)

The make up and regular clothes thing will come soon enough. :) Trust me, when people see you, all they are thinking is, "oh, that tired mommy."

You are beautiful, no matter what! Being a mom is an empowering, sexy, beautiful, amazing thing. Embrace all of it!

Ryan used to do the blanket scrambling for a baby all of the time. I've even caught myself doing it a few times.

You're beautiful and so blessed. Just keep swimming...you'll find your groove and a shower soon.

One thing about it,
andrea, when you go to WM like that no one will recognize you or even suspect it might be you! Do what you have to do, and time will take care of the rest! You are lucky to be up and walking around. They kept me in the hospital 10 days for a C-section for one baby. You had 3, and your body has taken a tremendous beating, so don't rush it. Take time to heal! Going from no baby experience to a triple whammie would make any sleepless parent overtired!

Have no fear, the people who end up on POW are completely unaware of WHY...LOL...You are a busy (understatement) new mommy and you have every right and excuse to run in and out in jammies...and YES, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, My kids are finally reaching an age where I can focus a little more on my needs, have fun with those babies, you are so blessed to get three in one shot, Just remember on the hard nights that this season will be gone soon, some things you will miss, other things you wont but no matter what YOU WILL MAKE IT! Love Meg
