Winter Wonderland

So it has been far too long since we've updated this thing! This is our attempt to catch everyone up on the happenings in our Colorado winter wonderland...Here goes:

So December turned out to be a very COLD month! We got the true Colorado experience, as you can see from the above picture. Yes this is the INSIDE of our apartment...the door frame and glass built up lots of ice. Needless to say, our heating bill skyrocketed!
This is Tyler and I are on our way to the company Christmas party. We had no idea what to expect, but it turned out ok. Unfortunately we were in a room full of people we didn't know (especially me) but we did take advantage of the yummy food! That's why you go to those things, right?! :)
And introducing the amazing talent of Ms. Ashley Young (Tyler's younger sister). Ashley is currently in the interior design program, and last semester she had to design and build her own house (a little one that is). These are the floor plans...
And here's the finished product! Ashley, you're hired for future projects! We're so proud of her...enough to make our blog! :) Apparently there's a video on youtube of her smashing her first model. At the time of the blog publish we could not find the video...so sorry.
Ah, the Christmas camera...someone who shall remain nameless (Tyler) thought it would be a great idea to get his mom a camera for Christmas. all the siblings pitched in, and here she is in all her camera glory. Little did we know she would turn out to be like "the stinking poparazzi!" That is a direct quote from Ashley. For most of Christmas day we ended up running from the camera...we all have Tyler to thank for that...
CHRISTMAS MORNING! This is Spencer and Valerie Young (tyler's brother and wife) along with me and Ashley at the grandparents house. We found out that many a wedding will be had this year. We can't remember how many of the cousins are getting married, we think it is 2 or 3...Very exciting!

While we were in Utah it snowed a ton! This is the driveway after it had snowed about 8 inches. Colorado needless to say has been gorgeous in January. This weekend we are enjoying 60 degree temperatures.
