A young couple was found frozen to death in their tent near Rockport State Park Saturday morning. The couple, from Provo, UT, went to spend the Memorial Day weekend camping, . Temperatures that night had dropped well below average Friday night, and even though the couple was prepared with five blankets and a sleeping bag, the couple still succumbed to the temperatures.
So we went camping this past weekend, and it was freezing. We still had a blast. We enjoyed some delicious tin foil dinners for dinner on the pitiful campfire we were able to make in the heavy winds.
The campground was really nice and the lake was gorgeous. We were very nervous about being rained on, but instead we just about froze.
